Edgardo Del Villar Returns To Television After His Fight Against Cancer

Telemundo News 47 presenter Edgar del Villar revealed in August that he would undergo surgery to remove three tumors that were found in his brain.

The Emmy Award winner successfully completed the first stage of his cancer treatment.

Fortunately, he did not experience any complications and is ready to resume treatment at the end of next month. Although his path to recovery continues, he is in a very good spirit and remains physically and mentally strong, the chain shared in a statement.

Upon his announcement, the Mexican entrusted himself to the doctors and clung to his faith in God to begin his journey to recovery. He also asked the faithful viewers of Telemundo to keep him in their prayers as he returned to work.

The network announced that del Villar's return day will be November 4 at the 6 pm EDT.

"By the time that time comes, he will personally update viewers on his progress and describe the way forward," says John Durso, Jr., a spokesman for Telemundo 47.

With much hope, at the beginning of his treatment, the Mexican journalist entrusted himself to the doctors, saying that he trusted that faith moves mountains.

Life took the journalist and his wife Carolina Novo Arias by surprise, who demonstrate that hope is never lost.
