It may be that it is a question that is in their blood, but as they read it, Rosie Rivera will become a singer. Not content with being a speaker, the Mexican-American will follow in the footsteps of her sister Jenni Rivera, her niece Chiquis Rivera and other members of her extended family.

"My daddy since I was 7 years old has asked me to sing and I swore I would never do it," Rosie tells People en Español exclusively, who will make her stage debut next December at a concert honoring her sister who The Riveras are organizing. "This year I said, 'Daddy, I'm going to do it. I don't know how it's going to turn out, I'm not a good singer, I'm going to study, send me the songs from now on. '”

According to Rivera, this step does not mean that he plans to dedicate himself fully to music. "This is only to be able to give that gift to my daddy, not to become a singer, it is not what I long for," he stresses. "But I do long to see my father smile and say, 'All my children are singers because it is something they have always wanted.'"

Rivera will not only dedicate herself to learning the songs that her father will compose for her, since along with her husband Abel Flores she also works on another musical project. "Since I was a child I wrote many poems and I love words and my husband sings Christian music," says Rivera. "[That's why] I told him, we are going to lock ourselves in a room and we are going to write a song."

The love of writing, like many things in his life, is also linked to his sister Jenni. “It reminds me a lot of my sister. She and I wrote a song like that in a hotel in Guadalajara,”she recalls with a broken voice. "I was mad at a boyfriend and I was too and we wrote a song and it's a beautiful memory and now I have it with my husband."
