After giving birth to little Archie, Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance to support her friend, tennis star Serena Williams.
During the match at Wimbledon, the Duchess of Sussex was in the stands with her friends Lindsay Roth and Genevieve Hillis. This would be the first time Markle has made an appearance in public without her family.
The duchess was one of the thousands of people who arrived at the main court of the tournament to see the considered best player in history.
The presence of two of her closest friends fueled speculation that the two may have been chosen to be among the godparents at the royal baby's christening this Saturday.
This tennis game for Markle is a tradition. Prince Harry's wife attended the tournament in 2016, around the same time a blind date was established with who would be her future husband. Last year, she attended with her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, in what was the first event they shared together.
The relationship between Williams and Markle has been quite a star since they met in 2010. Now, the two friends attend motherhood together. Williams received her first daughter, Alexis Olympia, in September 2017, and has given Meghan advice from a new mom.
While Meghan has largely been kept out of the public eye since giving birth to her son Archie on May 6, her maternity leave is expected to be three to five months. On June 8, Meghan attended Trooping the Color to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's official birthday parade.
There is no doubt that this sudden appearance of Meghan at Serena's party is the best proof of the great friendship that exists between the two stars.
