Anthony Rodríguez, a young Hispanic man living in New York, spoke with Aqui y Ahora (Univisión) about his double life. By day he is Anthony, a university student, and at night he transforms into 'Romeo' to dance half-naked in a disco. Rodríguez says that his work as a stripper allows him to pay for his studies. "For my family to be happy, I wanted to go to university and get a diploma," he said, highlighting his passion for sports. "I wanted to be a professional basketball player."

She also dreamed of studying physical therapy and working on the stock market, but when she was denied a scholarship to study at the university, she had to find another option. "I had to find another way to help her with [the accounts] and with the school," said her foster mother, Noemí Guzmán.

He looked for other jobs as a construction assistant, but one friend told him one day that he had a good body and could be a stripper. "I needed money," he admitted. "I was having [a private party] once and the woman took off my pants and you feel weird." However, the money her clients gave her in tips encouraged her to continue. "I said, 'I see there is a big opportunity here. I was afraid to tell people because I don't know how they were going to feel, "she confessed.

So he told his mother that he was a bartender and concealed from him that he danced half-naked. "Sometimes I can earn 1,000 [dollars] a day," he revealed.
