One of the largest babies born in Northern California debuted in the world on Friday at Sutter Davis Hospital, west of Sacramento. How much did Baby Valentino weigh at birth? 13 pounds, 11 ounces. Oh, and her heroic mother had a natural birth.

Kelly Corsetti, the mother of the newborn, told The Sacramento Bee newspaper about the state of disbelief in which her husband, Scott Corsetti, was left, when he and his sister approached to see how much Valentino weighed. “I just heard them both laugh and say, 'Wow, it can't be. Baby Valentino's weight also surprised Corsetti's sister-in-law, Tiffany Allen, who is a primary nurse at the birth center at that same health center. Valentino is Corsetti's third child and although his previous children were also "big" - his first daughter weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and the second 10 pounds 14 ounces - he never imagined that his third "little" would outnumber them.
