The fate of former player Aarón Hernández, who killed himself on April 19 by hanging himself in his cell in a Massachusetts prison, could not have been blacker.

In addition to the controversies that his suicide has aroused (such as the rumors that he was gay and that he had left a letter to a fellow lover in prison) the news has raised many unknowns, especially regarding the future of his family.

Hernández, who was 27 years old at the time of his death, was engaged in marriage and left a 4-year-old daughter named Avielle Janelle Hernández.

On the other hand, there is his fianceé, Shayanna Jenkins Hernández -mother of the minor- who now has to deal with the pain of the loss of whom it is said she was going to marry in prison and with the legal problems that continue even after the death of the tormented athlete with Puerto Rican roots (who was serving a first-degree murder conviction).

Now, a document submitted to a court in Massachusetts has uncovered a bomb: Aarón Hernández's fortune equals $ 0. Yes, you read that right, nothing, nilch, nothing.

That despite the fact that in 2012, Hernández had signed a $ 40 million contract for five seasons and at the time of his imprisonment he had already been paid about $ 10 million of that amount.

"There is no money, no identifiable personal property," says an affidavit sent to court in the middle of this week. The content of said document was revealed by the Boston Globe newspaper.
