Federal authorities reported that the search for Steve W. Stephens, the suspect in broadcasting the cold-blooded execution of Robert Godwin via Facebook Live, has ceased to be state-wide and is being carried out nationwide.

On Sunday, Stephens, 37, unleashed panic after he shot the 74-year-old man outside his home in Cleveland, Ohio.

According to The Washington Post, authorities indicated that Stephens stopped his Ford Fusion vehicle on a highway east of Cleveland at about 2 am, and upon seeing the old man said in his Facebook broadcast: “I am about to kill this guy. right here. He's an old guy."

Stephens approached him and asked Godwin to do him a favor: to say the name of Joy Lane.

"Joy Lane?" Godwin replied.

"Yes," Stephens said to him. "She is the reason this is going to happen to you now." Then he shot him.

It seems Lane is Stephens' ex-girlfriend and he was furious that they had quarreled, as he posted a message on his Facebook account in which he says: "I have spent three years with this bitch, I wish I had never met her."

What worries the authorities the most is that in a second video the suspect indicates that he has already killed 13 people and that he is about to murder number 14. So far, only the crime of the Ohio man has been confirmed.

Authorities ask that anyone who sees him or has any leads to his capture immediately contact his local authorities - calling 911 - as Stephens is armed and considered very dangerous.

There is a $ 50,000 reward for anyone who provides information leading to their arrest.
