Greene County, Tennessee, police did not believe when they arrested a couple who tried to sell their own 5-month-old baby on Craigslist, an action that is already unprecedented.
Deanna Lynn Greer, 37, and John David Cain, 26, appeared before a judge Monday to answer charges they face, including aggravated abuse and neglect of a minor.
According to the local newspaper The Greeneville Sun, the Elizabethton local police received a complaint alerting to the Craigslist announcement offering "a 5-month-old baby." They immediately organized a sting operation that included the FBI and contacted the couple.
Parents responded quickly and agreed to meet at a Dollar Store store last Friday. There they set the price of the creature in court before court, they set a bond of $ 150,000 per head.
