Stylist Accused Of Models

Calvin Klein, Valentino, Tommy Hilfiger, Dior,… Karl Templer is behind legendary fashion campaigns for firms like these and has been one of the most sought-after stylists on the fashion scene for decades. However, now it is news for a reason that has nothing to do with the garments that appear in the magazines.

Last week the Boston Globe newspaper published an investigative report in which more than 50 models confessed to the conditions of sexual abuse in which they had to work. At least three of them, who have preferred to keep their name anonymous, particularly accused Templer of certain inappropriate behaviors that he himself has been quick to deny in an open letter published on WWD.

"Three models who speak from anonymity declare that I threw them underwear and shorts, that I touched the crotch of one model and the chest of another, all while adjusting clothes for a photo and that this" crossed the line of the professional””, Writes Templer himself.

In his text, he denies that these accusations are true and asks that those who accuse him be heard and transparently and fairly tried.

“My job as a stylist includes adjusting clothing on models. If I have ever done it very quickly or very abruptly and my behavior has been misinterpreted, then I sincerely apologize,”she writes. “But I categorically deny having acted maliciously. That accusation is not true. In the more than 30 years that I have been working with models in public places, I have never been involved in inappropriate behavior of any kind with models.”
