For a woman, choosing the clothes to wear for a special occasion is a bit of a difficult task, not to mention the stress we go through when that long-awaited day arrives. And it is that if we have to go through a red carpet or attend an important event, looking good is a must. But being fabulous and captivating those present does not always mean that we are comfortable with the dress or shoes that we wear, but we have to admit that sometimes we do not mind being a little uncomfortable in order to look fabulous. That was the case of the actress Cate Blanchett, who chose an heavy dress to attend an event.
And when we talk about a weight dress, we mean exactly what the piece from designer Preen's pre-fall 2018 collection weighed. The turquoise blue long sleeve dress with lace details was made with French lace and metallic sequins. Most surprising of all, the original piece, which the actress supplemented with black boots, weighed 12 pounds.
"Cate was struck by the unusual color of this dress," her stylist Elizabeth Stewart told Instyle.com. “I think he has like 4,000 [sequins] but in reality he has so many that it is difficult to count them. It weighs 12 pounds.”
Without a doubt, the artist does not mind sacrificing her comfort in order to be the most chic and fabulous of the carpet. It should not be easy to wear such a heavy suit and look regal while walking in front of dozens of photographers. Bravo Cate!
