Ever since she married Prince Charles, Princess Diana has become one of the most besieged women in the world. And not only for its title, but also for its way of dressing. The missing princess never ceased to amaze us with the outfits she chose for official events, on her vacations and even for taking a walk with her children. The reality is that her style influenced many trends and still continues to inspire many women and even designers like Virgil Abloh, who wanted to honor her with a collection, 20 years after her tragic death in an accident in Paris.
In the parade, held in the iconic Parisian neighborhood Montmartre, models such as Naomi Campbell, Kaia Gerber and Jourdan Dunn paraded, dressed in pieces with oversized sleeves, masculine air jackets, tulle dresses with feminine flounces and beautiful floral prints. The collection even included a remake of the sports shorts the princess used to wear after she divorced and started exercising.
The accessories, created by Jimmy Choo, also lived up to the beloved Lady Di. Envelopes and bags with vintage air, leather gloves and pointed shoes, are part of the exquisite spring / summer 2018 collection, which also includes mini bags with the logo of People magazine, with that of Time magazine and two other publications.
Definitely a dream collection and without waste that we all want to have. There is no doubt that Princess Diana is still a fashion icon. Check out some of the beautiful pieces here.
