Selena Gomez's boyfriend is in the news and this time it is not a musical release nor does it have to do with the singer of "Can´t keep my hands to myself" but with the world of footwear, no more and no less. And it is that Abel Tesfaye, his real name, has just announced his collaboration with the sports firm Puma, with which other celebrities have already collaborated such as Rihanna or Kylie Jenner.

“I want to see everyone taking it [to the collection]. I want it to be part of pop culture. I want to go down the street and see the boys with them and the women with them. I want to see the Pope wearing them. I want to see [Barack] Obama wearing them. I want to see Elon musk wearing them,”the singer told footwear magazine Footwear News.

At the moment we have only been able to see this model of sports shoe that has been named “Parallel” and that will be on sale in olive green and white from next August 24.

The rest of the line in which the artist claims to have been involved one hundred percent will see the light in autumn and it seems that there will be more surprises.

"We will debut [more] collections this fall and we have more exciting products coming in the spring," said Adam Petrick, Puma's director of global marketing. "We have faith that this is going to be a long-term collaboration and that we will have the opportunity to evolve with The Weeknd as he creatively evolves."
