Lately we only see how Gigi Hadid, her sister Bella, Kendall Jenner or some other model, become the image of the most prestigious brands on the market. So when we found out that Prada had not thought of any of them and neither of an actress to represent her new collection, we were surprised. But when we learned that the image would be the talented film director Pedro Almodóvar, we have to admit that we loved the idea.
"One of the few directors of contemporary author films, Pedro Almodóvar is universally celebrated for his distinctive creativity, aesthetics and unique point of view," Prada said in a statement. "He is the representation of iconoclasm in all disciplines."
The campaign, from the fall / winter 2017 collection, was carried out by photographer Willy Vanderperre at the Prada headquaters, where mini-videos were also made in which the Spanish director appears, of course wearing pieces by the prestigious Italian brand.
"Each image is filled with a broad narrative, its own story," the company explained. “The result was as if they were parts of a film that has never been made.
Admittedly, the idea of the brand to include this genius in its new campaign is a bit risky but very successful. They do not believe?
