The boundaries between women's fashion and men's fashion are increasingly blurred. With the arrival of the new seasons we have seen more and more brands come out with their unisex lines - a fact that pleases the transgender community, those who are not satisfied with a specific gender identity and people who like to wear a look androgynous. And now for the first time H&M has announced that it will launch its own too.
"It is very natural for us to launch a unisex collection because fashion is constantly evolving," said Marybeth Schmitt, H&M spokesperson. “Today, we are seeing that there are no borders in the democratic style. Fashion should always be inclusive."
Called “Denim United” (Denim United), the entire collection will be available in its stores and through its website starting March 23.
As the name of the line suggests, the collection consists of denim pieces like jeans, jumpsuits and jackets. It would also include basic pieces like t-shirts, sweaters, and buttoned shirts. In keeping with H & M's commitment to environmental sustainability, each piece is made from either recycled cotton or organic cotton.
