The popular Barbie doll released a new body and image this year reflecting the diversity of today's society.
Now, the popular chain of stores Target has invited the popular icon to "model" its new collection of swimwear for 2016.
In the collection's promotional campaign, you can see a group photo of Barbie in her different skin tones and body types, showing various options of flirty swimwear.
"We turned to our friend Barbie to model Target's swimwear-inspired looks," the company said in a statement. "Barbie added three body types, curvy, petite, and tall, and expanded the variety of skin tones and hair styles [so] we tied some of the wrists with mini versions of our new swimsuits to show the variety of styles."
The idea, as Target explains, "is to try to shake off the insecurities about your body and not let anything get in your way to have fun wearing a swimsuit." In the promotional video of the campaign you can see models of flesh and blood, of different races and ethnic groups, modeling the garments in a very fun and casual way. Look:
