Ximena Duque's Son Undergo Emergency Surgery

When Ximena Duque disappears for several days from social networks without warning it is that something important or serious is happening in her life, so the concern among her followers was maximum after realizing that the Colombian actress had not published anything since last Thursday. And indeed it was. The 33-year-old interpreter had not been able to update her social networks since she was in the hospital because her 14-year-old son, Cristan Carabias, had to undergo emergency surgery.

According to what was reported on Monday by the co-star of the successful telemundo soap Telemundo Corazón Valiente on Instagram, the teenager had to undergo 'a minor emergency surgery' that later led to an infection 'against which his body was successfully battling' during the last days and for which the doctors decided to leave him hospitalized longer than originally planned. "Eye something not very serious because I ran to the emergency on time," said Ximena.

"For this reason I want to address the mothers who follow me and remind them that the mother instinct is unique and wonderful, only our hearts tell us what is right for our children, nothing and no one who believes they are right has it more than we do. That is why I encourage them to continue listening to that instinct when raising and / or helping their children, "said Duque.

The actress saw what happened with her son as a wake-up call to 'learn to value what we have in our lives and many times we don't see it'. “While I was in the hospital I listened to many children cry and I just closed my eyes and thanked for the health of my children, for their lives and for all the good we have. I remembered that there are people who are really having a hard time and my heart was filled with sadness. So many hungry children, with deadly diseases and us here healthy and sometimes complaining about nonsense. Wow, it was certainly a wake-up call, especially when I heard the baby in the next room cry for hours. God my heart was getting small and the only thing I did was close my eyes and ask God for him and his life, until he stopped crying I was able to fall asleep, explained Duque,who stopped being an exclusive artist of Telemundo at the end of last year.

The experience in the hospital also made Ximena appreciate her true friends and the unconditional support of her family, especially her husband, mother and the father of her son. “I also realized the good friends that we have in our lives, those that for any circumstance of life, good or bad, are always there. Undoubtedly those friends that I chose many years ago and that are still there for me and my family today. I remembered the importance of getting along with the father of my son and that in the end we will always be family. My husband is always the best there and my mother is my greatest support,”said Duque.
