There are parents and children who are like two droplets of water and that despite the years their resemblance does not change. Such is the case of Sean Lennon and John McCartney, who although already in their forties are still the same as their famous parents: former Beatles John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Now the pair is rocking the networks by releasing an epic selfie that has made fans of the late British quartet sigh.

The photo in question shows Lennon, 42, apparently taking the photo, while McCartney, 40, is holding a guitar with a garden in the background. "Peekaboo …" says the curious image that really does not need more words.

The son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono looks like a clone of his father with his beard, glasses and the classic features of the British musician who was shot to death on the streets of New York in 1980. Sean, who is also a musician, is the couple's only child and the second child of Lennon, who fathered Julian Lennon with his first wife, Cynthia.

McCartney is one of four children Linda McCartney bore to the former Beatle: Stella, Mary, and Heather McCartney. Sir Paul also fathered a daughter, Beatrice, 14, with his second wife, Heather Mills.

"Lennon and McCartney: The Sequel," an Instagram user said of the snapshot. "The living image of his parents!" someone else exclaimed.

John Lennon and Paul McCartney formed one of the most closely linked teams in the music world working tirelessly on a set of songs that made time.

The pair founded the group The Quarrymen in 1957 in their native Liverpool. Three years later the group would become the legendary quartet of The Beatles. Together they created over 180 songs, 17 of which are attributed to Lennon and McCartney, including classics like "A Hard Day's Night" and "Yesterday."
