The wait is over! This Friday Kate Middleton and Prince William announced that the name of their newborn son will be Louis Arthur Charles. The baby was born on April 23 in London and his official name will be hereafter "His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge".
The announcement was made through the official Kensington Palace Twitter account.
And why did they decide to call the little boy that? We know that his third name - Charles - is obviously due to his grandfather, Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth II's immediate heir to the British crown.
On the other hand, the name of Louis has a very special meaning for the Windsor house. Grandfather Prince Philip - consort of the queen and great-grandfather of the creature - was Prince Louis Alexander of Battenberg. Also, Prince William's full name is William Arthur Philip Louis.
