This Friday the baptism of Ximena, the youngest daughter of singer Poncho Lizárraga, from Banda El Recodo, born this year, was celebrated in Mazatlán, Mexico.
The ceremony was held at the Sagrada Familia church in that city located in northwest Mexico, a source revealed to People en Español. After the mass, the guests -among whom were figures from politics, music and sports- moved to an exclusive mansion located at the foot of the Pacific Sea where a mariachi welcomed them
Obviously, music was one of the main elements of the celebration, where in addition to an acoustic ensemble there was a very special performance by Banda Los Recoditos.
Little Ximena is the third daughter of the leader of Banda El Recodo and his wife, Celia Correa, 34, and arrived in the world on April 11. Lizárraga, 45, is also the father of Celia Sofía, 10, and Ivanna, 8.
The singer is also the father of another girl, Yoselin Lizarraga, 21, the result of a previous relationship.
“I am very happy with my daughters, they are dad's princesses. I know that [with them] I will have a taco [food] assured, when I grow old,”he said with a laugh.
