Telemundo premieres tonight at 9 pm EST, replacing The End of Paradise, the new season of its successful anthology series Decisiones, some win others lose with a luxury protagonist: Litzy. One year after her leading role in the soap opera On the Other Side of the Wall, the Mexican actress returns to the network turned into Rocío, the heroine of the first episode of the unit. In an exclusive interview with People en Español, the 37-year-old interpreter tells us all the details of her participation in this story and reveals what she has been doing during this last year in which she has stayed away from television.
You return to Telemundo, how do you feel?
I am very happy and very grateful to Telemundo for having taken me into account for this new stage of Decisiones which is an iconic program of the chain that is also made with a great first-rate production with true stories where all people can feel identified.
Your chapter is called The Hunter, what can you tell us about the story?
My character is called Rocío and she is a girl who is pregnant and wants to cross the border with her son's father to seek a better future in the United States. Although he knows that it is a risk, he decides to take it since in Mexico he feels that he does not have the same opportunities, but he does not imagine the complications that will be encountered once he reaches the border.
How much reality does your character have?
It is completely true. All of us who live in the United States know a story like this and I think it is important that the public is reflected in this story.
Litzy in Decisions.
It had been a year since we saw you on screen. Tell us what you have been doing all this time
I have been spending time with myself, my house, my animals, my family and I had the opportunity to do an incredible project in Colombia for several months.
2019 is ending, what balance do you make?
This year for me has been one of reflection, of many personal and work changes, challenges and getting out of my comfort zone.
What projects do you have for 2020?
The series I made in Colombia will be released and I am preparing several surprises for the public, both in music and in acting.
