Actor Roberto Manrique is one of the characters that made it to the new season of Sin senos si hay paradise (Telemundo). In his role as Santiago, the heroic love of Catalina 'La grande', played by Carmen Villalobos in the series, the actor confesses that he has to have an indisputable closeness, including the bed scenes. But how do you prepare for these scenes with Carmen Villalobos ?

“The good thing is that with Carmen we have a real, honest, natural chemistry, which is part of this beautiful friendship that we have created. Carmen and I knew each other as 'de corridors', or Telemundo events. In fact, she knew me better, with her boyfriend Sebastián, but we shared this energy,”confessed the Ecuadorian on Monday while on our People VIP program.

“[Carmen] as host of the series, greeted me with the best of welcomes, celebrating that I had been chosen and it was funny. [The first meeting] was in the promotional photos so the first thing we had to do was look at each other's eyes and lips… and from there it was like 'we have it'”, the interpreter confesses, adding that the role of Santiago came to your life as a blessing at your right time.

After working in Mexican television for several years, Manrique feels that he carries the warmth of his people wherever he goes. But what is it that makes you feel most proud of being Ecuadorian?

"I have to mention the geographic and ethnic diversity that is impressive in Ecuador, but there is a factor that rewards and has to do with the heart of the Ecuadorian," he said.

“But I really feel that the Ecuadorian has a certain kindness, a certain kindness from the grassroots in Ecuador and I love it. At a time in the world where there is so much malice, so much darkness, knowing that this trait identifies the Ecuadorian fills me with deep pride.”
