Univision Reveals Rubí Release Date

Univision will kick off 2020 in style. In addition to the second season of its successful Turkish soap opera Amor eterno, which will begin airing on Monday, January 6 at 9 p.m. EST, the network will premiere the new version of Rubí during the first month of next year.

The fiction that 15 years ago catapulted Uruguayan actress Bárbara Mori to fame and is now headed by Thalía's niece, Camila Sodi, will land in Hispanic prime time on Monday, January 21.

“In January, the most famous cheeky on television returns to Univision. Beg your saints, hide your male … Monday through Friday in 26 episodes, the network recently announced in a promotional video showing new images from the series.

The fiction will be in charge of replacing the second season of The Dragon, so it will be broadcast from Monday to Friday at 10 pm Eastern time.

Although it promises to preserve the essence of the original, the new version of Rubí has only 26 chapters, so that, in addition to being modern, it will be much more intense and agile.

Like the storyline Mori spearheaded, the fiction revolves around an ambitious woman of humble origins determined to use her stunning beauty and feminine wiles to escape poverty regardless of whether she harms innocent people on the way to achieve it.

On this occasion, and as the main novelty with respect to the previous version, it will also be shown what happened to the character years later and that is where a young journalist named Camila (Ela Velden) comes into play, who will convince Rubí (Sodi), a Mysterious woman who lives secluded in a dark mansion, to tell the story of her life and why she isolated herself from the outside world of her own free will.
