Two months after the death of Kobe Bryant, his widow Vanessa Bryant has a new reason to smile: with hype and cymbals he has announced the publication of the second book in The Wizenard Series: Season One that the basketball player wrote with his co-author. author Wesley King.

Through her social networks, Vanessa presented the new novel that follows the saga of her husband and King's first book. That tome focused on a basketball lover whose future lights up with the arrival of a new coach.

Welcome to Dren! We hope you are ready to catch up with the West Bottom Badgers for another magical basketball season,”Vanessa wrote on her Instagram account alongside the image of the new book.

This launch makes another dream come true that the late basketball player had planned to fulfill this year. According to King, Kobe wanted to help his young readers change their lives through his stories.

"I was really focused on changing the lives of children and empowering the next generation of young athletes, especially [female] athletes," King told PEOPLE after the death of the Los Angeles Lakers team player. "It said, 'If a child picks up this book and finds faith in himself to persevere, we did our job.' We are doing this for that child."

King added that Kobe, in addition to being a dedicated parent, had a special passion for helping children improve their future.

"His family was always first. I knew it within five minutes of meeting him,”said King. "His daughters always came up, he always called me when he went to pick them up [from school]."

Kobe died at 41 in a tragic plane crash with his little 13-year-old Gigi Bryant and seven other passengers traveling by helicopter in Southern California in January.
