Operación Pacífico, the new Telemundo superseries that will land next year in Hispanic prime time, will mark the on-screen reunion of two actresses well loved by the public. We are talking about Majida Issa and Johanna Fadul, who were mother and daughter for three seasons in the successful soap opera Sin senos si hay paradise, now known as The End of Paradise.
More than a year after their participation in this story ended, the talented Colombian actresses - better known as 'La diabla' and Daniela - return to work together for the Spanish-language network in this new 60-episode crime drama.
This time, unlike the previous one, Majida and Johanna will not be mother and daughter; however, they will continue to have a very close relationship since they will now be sisters.
Despite this strong family bond that will unite their characters, the actresses are not exactly the best sisters.
Majida Issa will be Amalia Ortega
The 38-year-old interpreter will enter this story in the skin of a wife, mother and captain of the Secret Intelligence Unit of the Police who will put her career, her life and that of her family at risk in the attempt to capture the ' Handsome ', a mysterious and powerful Mexican drug trafficker.
Johanna Fadul will be Mariana Ortega
The 34-year-old actress, meanwhile, will play Amalia's younger sister, a rebel without a cause, addicted to the futureless heroine who grows up hating Amalia due to the supposed favoritism her parents had towards her.
