Meghan Markle left the UK almost immediately after the Dukes of Sussex dropped the internet bomb of her already famous "independence" from the British royal family. She returned to Canada, where her son Archie awaited her, and Prince Harry, who is still putting out fires in the UK, is expected to join her family soon.

Much has been speculated about the tremendous expenses that the couple's new life will entail for the British crown, who only gave up 5% of their income at the moment.

In fact, it was hinted from London that it was possible that the queen was in talks with the government of Canada, who would bear part of the extremely expensive cost of security with which the couple needs to be protected and which amounts to more than a million dollars a year.
