Since Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, we have all wondered how his wife, Melania Trump, will dress for special occasions such as the inauguration this coming Friday. Designers like Christian Siriano, Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford have publicly stated that they will not dress her because they oppose her husband's controversial ideas, but recently a report came out from the WWD publication, dedicated to the fashion industry, stating that Melania already got someone to dress her. And the chosen one is Ralph Lauren.

"Acting on his bipartisanship, Ralph Lauren, who supported Hillary Clinton, is believed to be working on a dress and outfit for the Slovenian-born ex-model on the day of the inauguration," reports shower publication.

Lauren dressed Clinton in her famous pantsuits for several of the key moments of her campaign, including the presidential debates, her trip to the polling place to vote on Election Day, and also for her speech the next day. But given the prestige associated with dressing the next first lady, next Friday's event is sure to bring plenty of publicity to the American designer. When 37.8 million people saw the inauguration of Barack Obama in 2009, Isabel Toledo, the designer who made the Michelle Obama dress, became known worldwide, reaching global stardom.

Although Lauren publicly supported Clinton, Melania decided to buy and wear one of her jumpsuits for Election Night, but it is unknown if the designer approached Trump directly. Lauren is also rumored to be working on other custom pieces for other members of the Trump family. A spokeswoman for Lauren declined to comment.
