Marchesa's fall season 2016 collection transformed the catwalk into a fairy tale in costumes fit for a queen.

The designers behind the distinguished brand, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, were inspired by the portraits of the painter John Singer Sargent (1856-1925) and that influence was reflected in the exquisite suits with floral patterns, the pieces with elegant collars and striking fringes. that predominated on the catwalk.

To complement the collection, the prestigious makeup artist Bobby Brown created a fresh and modern look.

"Touch-up powders create a romantic look [on the skin]," said the expert, who used her fingers to apply lipstick to the girls. "Every woman has a different lip tone, but they are all in the line of cherry tones."

In the same way, Antonio Corral Calero, ambassador of the MoroccanOil brand, also wanted to modernize the classic inspiration of the collection.

"Today we all take selfies, but in the eighteen hundred they had to paint and create portraits," explained the hair stylist, who created two different hairstyles for the presentation: a simple bun that rested at the nape of the neck and another similar to a macramé fabric. "It is neither a braid nor a chongo, [but] has the texture of a fabric, which makes them more retro."
