If there was one thing that Gaby Espino and Jencarlos Canela were clear about when they both made the decision to end their relationship in August 2014, it was that there was always going to be an excellent relationship between them, at least on the friendly level, for the well-being of their son, Nickolas. And so it has been.

The fruit of their love turned six years last weekend and the ex-couple met at the actress's house to celebrate the sixth birthday of the little one in style.

After almost five years of love relationship and a son in common, the ex-partner released the news of their separation in late August 2014 through a press release that they both disclosed through social media.

“We are not separating, because when there is a family, that word does not exist. We are simply deciding to be best friends and move on. We take advantage of this moment to communicate to the media that only through this statement will it be the only time that we will rule on it,”read the statement.

Gaby and Jencarlos are undoubtedly the perfect example of how all ex-partners who have children in common should get along once their ways separate.
