Alfredo Mattar, a 72-year-old grandfather, has gone viral by appearing in a video dressed in a tiny red thong to protest the streets against local prostitution.

In different clips circulating on networks and YouTube, the white-haired old man appears walking through the 25th square of the City of San Juan denouncing what he describes as a "red zone" with the abundance of sex workers outside his home.

"I am tired of living this situation, the truth is that what I have been suffering with the action of these people is quite complicated", Mattar is heard saying before the cameras of the local channel Canal 13 San Juan TV and before the astonished gaze of a Police and passersby hurriedly and visibly disturbed passed the old man.

With a briefcase in hand, socks and black shoes, the old man speaks loudly to be heard as he denounces the trash and disorder that prostitution has left in his neighborhood, particularly in front of his home, located at the intersection of the streets of Córdoba. and Güemes.

"There is no other way, I have made 500 complaints to the police," he exclaims. "The police chief is also complicit … the governor and all those who let the transvestites work where there are families, I have grandchildren, you know?" The grandfather asks that his grandson can "go around the block on a bicycle without receiving any provocation or seeing naked people."

Unfortunately, the protest did not end peacefully for Matta who, according to local media, was arrested and taken to the first police station of said locality where he was detained for a couple of hours. He was subsequently released by depositing a fine.

At the same time, Horacio Morando, judge of the Third Court of Misdemeanors of said locality, declared that in these courts there is no complaint by Mattar and that he was asked to appear in said court to review his alleged claims. “No complaint was filed in court.
