The same day that Joaquín el Chapo Guzmán, 61, was found guilty on the drug trafficking charges he was facing, the United States Department of Justice released an unpublished video of the moments when the Sinaloa cartel boss was extradited.

As it has been released, this compilation of images is perhaps the most comprehensive visual report that has been shown on the transfer of El Chapo to US soil on the night of January 17, 2017.

In the video, broadcast by multiple media, part of the moments Guzmán Loera lived after his arrival in the United States are revealed. In the first images you can see the Mexican inside the aircraft that moved him and with his eyes a little lost.

The Mexican then steps off the plane and walks handcuffed into what appears to be a hangar, while being escorted by DEA agents. Some of the images have generated a great impact, since the capo, considered one of the most dangerous men in the world, looks totally puzzled and trying to understand what is happening around him. Such is the state of shock in which El Chapo seems to be, that it is inevitable for him to be seen with tears in his eyes.

Guzmán Loera was found guilty of the 10 charges he was facing for drug trafficking in federal court in New York City. The jury's verdict, made up of 12 people, was released on Tuesday, February 12. The sentence that the Mexican must face will be given next June.
