But few knew that the star - who gave birth at 38 when she was still married to singer Marc Anthon and - was afraid that her dream of becoming a mother would never come true.
In his appearance on Thursday on the morning show Today (NBC), the star, who was presenting the new season of his series Shades of Blue, approached the subject with tears in his eyes.
"Me and the children are like gypsies and we travel everywhere, but we take it easy," JLo told host Savannah Guthrie speaking of her busy career. "I love what I do and I am grateful."
When Guthrie referred to the children's birthday and asked about them, López made the surprising revelation: “They have simply made my life better,” she said while looking at him, “I am forever grateful that… you know… I don't I had children until later, and I almost thought it was not going to happen to me, so I am aware that I was blessed with it. It could have been different”.
