Karen Fonseca, a Texas woman whose name went viral for having an offensive sticker on the back glass of her truck that read "F *** Trump" was jailed for an alleged arrest warrant that has been pending since 2014.
Texas Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls posted an image of the back of Fonseca's truck and threatened in his post to arrest her for causing public disorder with the sticker message. It was then that Fonseca was arrested and then released on bail.
While the arrest warrant does not claim to have been because of the sticker, Fonseca believes otherwise. “I'm pretty sure it does have to do with [the sticker]. People abuse their authority and, in my opinion, money talks. When you are in politics, people know how to operate the system,”he said in an interview with CBS.
After his arrest, Fonseca returned to his truck and changed the message. This time to include the name of the cop. "F *** you Troy Nehls and F *** you for voting for him."
"I feel like we have a right to our freedom of expression," he said at a press conference. "We must support and always firmly defend our beliefs."
Fonseca's lawyer told CBS that they are considering filing a lawsuit for human rights violations.
