United Airlines is again the protagonist of the headlines in the press for the treatment of its passengers, this time, an African woman named Queen Obioma is suing the renowned company for discrimination during a trip she made between Nigeria and Canada.

As reported by the Houston Chronicle newspaper on its online site, the woman claims in the lawsuit that on March 4 she was forced, along with her children, to get off a plane since another passenger had complained about the "strong smell" that the woman had.

The unusual event occurred when the woman was preparing to make a stopover of her trip between the cities of Houston and San Francisco. When Queen got on the plane, she found a Caucasian man sitting in her first-class seat. After the passenger refused to move from the seat, the woman had no choice but to agree to sit in another location.

Moments before the aircraft took off, the woman used the bathroom and just as she was about to return to her seat, the same man who removed her chair suspiciously blocked her path for several moments.

Following the unusual encounter, two United staff members approached her and told her that the captain had given the order that they had to get her off the plane, claiming that a passenger had complained about the woman's "smell".

Obioma and her children were forced to leave the plane, which is why the woman decided to file a lawsuit against the company for discrimination. Already in the past the airline had starred in an embarrassing controversy after a passenger was dragged out of an aircraft and with signs of having been hit.
