Brooks Lindsey, a soldier from the United States, could not be present at the birth of his daughter and he never imagined that his reaction to seeing the birth of his little girl through FaceTime would become a trend and one of the most viewed videos on social networks.
As revealed by the CNN news network through his online site, the member of the armed forces was at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport waiting for a flight that would take him to meet his partner, but due to a delay in the Itinerary led him to miss the special moment for his family.
Just when Lindsey thought she would miss the birth of her baby girl, an unexpected video call allowed her to see her little girl's arrival live. The soldier's reaction was recorded by another passenger, who also decided to share the emotional images on Facebook.
"Without Brooks' [flight] delay I would have been on the air and we would not have been able to make the video call," shared Haley Lindsay, wife of the now-famous soldier and who emphasized the positive side of the situation.
Little Millie Fritz Anne Lindsey was born last Friday and when her father held her in his arms for the first time, just hours after she was born, it was a moment the couple will never forget. "He picked her up, held her for more than five minutes, and kept saying, 'I can't believe we had a baby.'"
For his part, the Facebook user who posted the video left this message for reflection: "I want us to remember the sacrifices made by the soldiers who serve us every day." The clip has been played more than 300,000 times since it was posted and has given users a total download of cuteness.
