Advances in technology continue to surprise the world, and the introduction of AVA, a new virtual healthcare system that seems almost human, has left many speechless.
As reported by the online site of the renowned newspaper The Wall Street Journal, AVA - which is an acronym for Automated Virtual Assistant in Spanish - will completely change the way humans interact with these types of programs.
But what is this software about? It is simply the new generation of virtual assistants that use internet sites to guide their users. Many websites have these types of programs and they almost always work in the form of a chat to help people quickly find answers to questions they have.
Surely in the past you have used this type of service thinking that you are talking to a person, but in reality they are programs designed to answer frequently asked questions by Internet users.
AVA will give a radical change to these virtual assistance programs, since users will be able to have a real conversation with the system, which will also have a face and be willing to show emotions depending on the user's mood and the development of the conversation.
"If a client says to AVA, 'I'm having trouble,' I want her to frown and say, 'Sorry, let me see if I can help you,'" Rachael Rekart, who is in charge of support channels from Autodesk, the company that created this new virtual assistant.
