Chef Franco Noriega responded to Johnny Lozada after the Puerto Rican made fun of his physique and said he had no talent for dancing during last Sunday's show Who's Dancing! (Univision).

“It seems to me that he must have apologized to me. He scoffed at my face. In general, what I asked for at that time and what I keep asking for is that the judges be mentors, they can be people who guide us to improve,”Noriega told People en Español this Tuesday. We need constructive criticism. Not only that they say 'this is wrong, this is wrong', well, how do I improve?”

After the tension that was experienced in the show on Sunday, Lozada - who serves as judge in the dance contest - apologized publicly on Monday in the Despierta América program (Univision) for his words towards the Peruvian chef, who is one of the contestants.

“My behavior was not up to scratch. I understand that the anger did win me, which should not have happened,”he said. "I did not like [Noriega's] comment because many times we have helped certain people and he tells us that Poty Castillo and I are not targets, I did not see it as correct."

Despite the excuses of the former member of Menudo, Noriega insisted that he was not treated fairly.

"We are all human and we were wrong, Johnny already apologized to the public for the reaction he had. I ask for a clean slate and a new account and [to] give me constructive criticism,”he requested. "I felt it was disrespect and humiliation on camera by an older person. He is a judge, he is supposed to be experienced and to make fun on camera, because I took it as a lack of respect”.

Noriega was not impressed by Lozada's career. "Johnny as an older person who is - because he is not 20 years old, he is 50 years old - has to recognize his mistakes and claim," said the chef.

“Johnny mentions his forty-something years on television. He is a person of Menudo, I was not even born when Menudo existed. For me Johnny is not a very current character, he had an important moment when I was not born, but if you ask me what I can admire about his career, there is not much that I admire”.
