El Chavo del 8 aired in 1971. Three years later, Fernández joined the cast, and remained on the show until its last episode. This actress played a bachelor and ill-faced woman who was hopelessly in love with the character of Don Ramón, played by Ramón Valdés.
When the comedian of Spanish origin joined the series, she had an important career in the cinema of her country and had made various films and tele-theaters in Mexico, where she moved in 1947.

Angelines Fernández died on March 25, 1994 in Mexico City.
