A group of women stayed as God brought them into the world to get tickets to a reggaeton concert during a competition in a Miami nightclub.
The controversial competition carried out for the women to obtain VIP tickets, or expensive, for a concert by the Cuban reggaeton duo Yomil and Dany, has sparked controversy as a video recorded that day at the La Covacha club went viral, reports the The New Herald.
The Miami newspaper reports that Rolnier Tito, a promoter of events in the city of Miami, was the one who uploaded to his Facebook account the video where the women are seen stripping their clothes.
"There are people in Miami who are in the business and have a more open mind for this type of promotions," the promoter told El Nuevo Herald. "From the reactions I would say that there is 30 percent for each group of people, those who see it as something fun, others as something bad and others who do not care," said Tito.
Univision, however, reports that the competition has been listed as sexist because during the alleged contest women were encouraged to undress in front of strangers in order to win a concert ticket.
The producer alleged to El Nuevo Herald that the atmosphere of the show allegedly has a particular lifestyle. “The entertainment has its lifestyle. People who are outside can see it as something that is wrong, but that is something that has been happening in discos for a long time, he stressed. Competition has been branded as demeaning to women.
