After it was revealed that Kate del Castillo went to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) to denounce the Government of Mexico, the actress's mother, Kate Trillo, applauded her decision.
"Economically, and in every way, it was affected by everything that was said about it," Trillo warned the Mexican newspaper Reforma. “How could she and we [her parents], her sister, her nephew not be affected? We were all affected, all of us.”
The actress appeared at the headquarters of the Organization of American States (OAS), in Washington; There he formalized his complaint for having unduly leaked information to the media about his encounters with Joaquín El Chapo Guzmán while he was on the run.
According to the mother of the protagonist of La Ingobernable, the actions of the Mexican authorities caused her daughter various economic losses, because she was without work for almost a year.
“She had a terrific contract that was going to pay her very well and she was canceled for this very reason, and other things were also canceled because of everything that had been said, which turns out that nothing that she was being accused of was true. Kate Trillo mentioned.
For his part, Del Castillo assured that his rights were violated and that is why he continues to fight against the arbitrariness against him.
"We come here to raise a very long complaint, because my human rights have been trampled on and nothing has been done in Mexico," Kate del Castillo warned the media, during her visit to the aforementioned body. "There has been a lynching towards me, without a doubt, I don't know who specifically, but the Government in general, for sure."
