Seeing an old photograph accompanying his then-5-year-old daughter Britanny on her first day of school in kindergarten, Jason Gayler decided to repeat this cute experience and walk again with the now-teenager on her last day of high school.
The proud father took 18-year-old Brittany to school for the last time in his small town in Texas, who shared the images of the two emotional moments on his Twitter account.
"My father walked with me to school on my first day and today he walked with me to school on my last day," was the text with which the student accompanied the snapshots.
According to BuzzFeedNews, the father "was holding back tears" on the drive to the school gate. "It was an emotional moment," Gayler acknowledged.
For her part, Brittany commented that this last walk was somewhat bittersweet because on the one hand "I have always been so grateful that my parents were always there for me" and on the other -as a good teenager- she felt "ashamed" that They will accompany her.
What the Gaylers did not expect is that these images became popular on the networks and were received in a warm way by so many users, who captured the tenderness that the photographs contain.
"I was like, 'Oh my lord, what's going on,'" Brittany commented in response to the popularity of the images.
After the summer is over, the young woman will leave her parents' home to study at the university.
