Marc Henry Johnson, an executive with the HBO network, pleaded guilty in the case of the death of a doctor and mother of three children who died at the entrance of a Manhattan building in 2015.

According to a report shared by People magazine on its online site, the 52-year-old man confessed to having dragged Kiersten Cerveny out of a building where they were, from an apartment, after the woman suffered an overdose. for cocaine use.

The executive and Cerveny would have spent a hectic night in different bars in New York City ingesting alcohol and drugs, then go to the apartment of James Holder, Johnson's friend. The 38-year-old woman died after being found unconscious outside the building on the morning of October 4, 2015.

"His reaction to seeing her dying as a result of an overdose should have been to seek help," said attorney Joon H. Kim in a statement released to People by the United States Department of Justice. "By contrast, Johnson helped his cocaine supplier cover up the crime by moving the victim's body," added Kim.

Johnson and Holder face federal drug trafficking and conspiracy charges in the dermatologist's death. As part of a deal made after the HBO executive's confession, Johnson could face a 24-month prison sentence, thus avoiding a maximum sentence of up to 10 years that could have been imposed for the crimes he was charged with.
