A young mother of two little boys says that her tough childhood and adolescence left a mark on her and were the direct cause of her incredible current weight: almost 700 pounds.
The incredible obesity story of 23-year-old Nicole Lewis will be told in the next episode of the My 600-Lb show. Life (TLC) and the preview clips of the broadcast are moving, because according to the woman, her obesity is due to her parents' drug addiction.
The first to fall into the clutches of addiction was her mother, and that this started the violence at home and her refuge in food as consolation: “Even as an infant I remember that the only thing that made me happy was food,” Lewis explains.. "My mother had a bad temper," says the woman, explaining that when she exploded, she would run to the garage. "My father was always there and gave me a snack. That was security for me."
Nicole Lewis, with her partner, who helps her bathe because she no longer fits in the bathtub:
At 14 Nicole was already 200 pounds. It was then that her father, who is a trucker, also fell into cocaine addiction and began to bring the drug home, where she and her mother used it.
"They both became addicted and things got much more violent at home after that," says Lewis. "My dad and mom were angry because they ran out of cocaine. My mother kept awake for hours crying and screaming for cocaine."
The shelter, once again, was food for the young woman: “When my parents were using drugs, I was very angry with them and yelled at them and they ignored me. So I would go to my bed and I would stay there crying and eating for hours until I fell asleep. Food was my only consolation because when I ate and filled it, it made me feel comfortable and safe (…) so I wouldn't stop eating.”
Lewis now suffers the consequences of her excessive weight and ensures that now her partner helps her bathe by watering her with a hose in the garden because she no longer fits in the bathtub at home.
