The inauguration of the new president of the United States, Donald Trump, took place this Friday in Washington DC. The magnate and his cabinet began his tenure at the White House after the investiture ceremony before the Capitol.
After one of the most controversial campaigns in United States history, the Republican defeated the Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton. The path to transition began in November when the hitherto president, Barack Obama, and his successor met at the White House, which will be the new home of the Trump family starting today.
We show you some of the important points you should know about the transition.
The Obama family has not lost an opportunity to say goodbye to the country. After the emotional farewell speech last week, the outgoing President and his wife Michelle have taken advantage of social media to document their last steps at the White House, or as they called it, "The House of the People."
