After announcing her engagement to Jay Adkins, actress Ximena Duque turned to her social networks to share the video of the "most important" day of her life.

Better than I ever dreamed of you. Better than that princess tale my mother read to me. You exceed my imagination without measure, you are without a doubt the love of my life, the man I dreamed of and that I asked God for,”wrote the 31-year-old Colombian at the foot of the video that she released this Wednesday.

“Let us make our life the most beautiful by carrying love, respect and patience every day with the shield of God. I love you with all my soul and this is a life commitment, forever and ever”, he added.

The green-eyed boyfriend gathered close family and friends at a restaurant in Miami where, on his knees, he presented her the splendid ring and asked for eternal love.

After accepting his marriage proposal, Ximena kissed him passionately.

“I can't stop sharing the most important night of my life with all of you, I want you to dream big and believe that dreams do come true. Don't settle for and wait for that person that God has for you,”he wrote in the video. "I can't stop thanking my family and friends who made this possible, thank you each for being a part of my life and for this moment, I adore you."

Duque and Adkins made their romantic relationship public last September during the party of the 15 of the Dr. Polo program.
