The Obamas present their Christmas card. US President Barack Obama, his wife Michelle Obama, and daughters Sasha and Malia appear very stylish on a holiday card they sent from their home in Washington, DC. “As our family reflects on the many happy years we spent at the White House, we are grateful for the friends we have made, for the joy we have shared, and for the gifts of kindness we have received. Happy Holidays and a wonderful New Year”, says the dedication.

The Obamas last celebrated the Christmas ceremony of lighting the trees in the White House and also had a very emotional Halloween, opening the doors of their presidential home to children in costume looking for candy. Just days after President-elect Donald Trump takes power in the nation, the Obama family is enjoying its last end of the year in the White House.

“We have to remember that it's not just about the gifts. It is about the spirit of serving others, the belief that in this country we have to help each other. And if someone, anyone in this country, is going through difficult times, we have to be there for them, to help them, the First Lady said about the Christmas season in a recent distribution of gifts for children.

Michelle Obama was nostalgic when talking about her last Christmas at the White House. “As we celebrate my family's last Christmas in the White House, I am remembering when we first arrived in Washington. We promised to open this house to as many people and origins as possible. And we really wanted to turn "the white house" into "the people's house," he said.
