Julio Iglesias Jr. is happier than ever because of his new musical work titled Timeless, which bears the blessing of his father, the Spanish singer Julio Iglesias, since several of his musical successes are also performed by the model.
“I am a man who has listened to his father's songs all his life. One day I got into the studio and started recording a few songs in my style. My father always told me that I was the perfect heir to go singing those songs that never die, that don't expire, that are always on people's minds. I love being able to sing those songs,”Julio Jr. told People en Español.
The tour that will boast those songs of yesteryear is supposed to start on March 27 in Miami. However, with the current global health crisis due to the coronavirus, the singer accepts that he must take precautions and will meet with his team to talk about it. Until the moment of the interview this Thursday, the plans to hold the first concert were still standing.
Julio Jr. knows perfectly well the consequences of contagion of the disease, since one of his cousins in Spain has contracted the virus and is under medical supervision.
“This is a little bit complicated thing. I am seeing that it is a serious thing and something must be done about it,”he said of the indications to avoid spreading the virus. "It affects everyone. In Spain we are at all [what it gives with the subject]. My cousin has coronavirus, he is 30 years old.”
While waiting for his cousin to get better, Julio Jr. focuses on ensuring a good experience for his fans with his tour, which will take him across the United States, if the situation permits.
But before starting the tour and just upon his arrival from Chile, where he had some presentations, the interpreter came to meet the new member of the Iglesias family, little Mary, daughter of his brother Enrique Iglesias.
"[It's beautiful. Very small, but precious”, she says proudly. “[Enrique] is happy. She is with her three children, super happy. She is in glory because obviously having a child changes your life. He has changed his life in a superpositional way and they are very happy.”
For when a tour of the Iglesias brothers?
Yes, we have discussed it. We have suddenly talked about someday doing something together, it would be wonderful. I would love to. We have commented it, it has not arisen yet, but someday we will do it”, he assured.
