Irina Baeva will no longer participate in the What a Woman conference on International Women's Day, as announced by the Russian actress on her social networks. Apparently, the organizers of the event that will take place on March 7 in Mexico City, paid attention to the criticism and attacks received by netizens towards Gabriel Soto's girlfriend, who did not consider her a good example for talk about issues such as self-esteem, cyberbullying, and self-love, among other issues that affect women, and decided to cancel their talk.

Through a statement, the actress assured that her decision is a consequence of the discrimination she has been suffering at the hands of those who do not approve of her relationship with the actor, adding that she does not share the position of the organization, which apparently feared the reaction of some followers.

"The organizers decided to download me from the program and cancel the agreement that we had agreed to for a month and a half," Baeva explained in the statement. "The decision was because they wanted to remain impartial and not take risks in their event, because they wanted to be away from the controversy."

The actress confessed feeling violated in the situation, since she wants to avoid telling her side of the story.

“The misinformation and prejudices about women are so great that sadly this other type of violence is generated: segregation. To the extent that in an event of supposed femininity and empowerment, there is a paradox of shutting up a woman due to the fear and pressure exerted by social networks; leaving me without a voice,”he said.

Fortunately, the actress found another forum to present her point of view about the situation of women and joined the Extraordinary event: a woman-to-woman talk, which also celebrates International Women's Day and will take place in Puebla, Mexico. There she will share a platform with actresses such as Diana Bracho and Rosa María Bianchi and the journalist Karla Iberia Sánchez.

The actress has received unconditional support from Soto, who expressed how proud he is of her. "What a woman!" Wrote the actor along with a snapshot of both on her Instagram account.
