Against all odds, the Puerto Rican model Kiara Liz became the winner of the eighth season of Mira que baila (Univision) last night against the Mexican Sofía Castro and the Spanish Adrián Lastra, who finished second and third respectively. The victory of the Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2018 generated great controversy through social networks, where many viewers of the program expressed their discontent with the result.

"I do not agree, of the three it was the one that danced the least", "the winner was Adrián, that is the true champion" or "it was not fair, they took the victory from Sofia and Adrián", are just some of the hundreds of complaints that flooded Univision networks after Kiara's triumph against many other messages of support and celebration.

But social networks were not the only ones who were dissatisfied with the result, or rather with the last-minute decision to cede all prominence to the public when choosing the winner, contrary to other occasions when the opinion of the jury also counted.

After disclosing the position in which they had been in the dance competition of the Spanish-speaking chain, both Adrián and Sofía gave hints during their last speech on the program that they did not agree with the way in which they he had chosen the winner, despite the fact that they respect the public's decision and celebrate the victory of their partner.

The first to speak was the Spanish actor, who took third place.

The daughter of the former first lady of Mexico Angélica Rivera and the producer of successful soap operas, José Alberto Castro, was clearer than her partner, admitting that she wished that the decision of the judges had been worth a little more at this gala.

"Yes, I would have liked the decision of the judges to be worth a little more at this gala and to thank the three because with the three I grew a lot," said the Mexican actress.
