The 92nd Oscar Awards in Hollywood has begun and the surprises have happened from the very red carpet.

To open the plate, and as suspected, Jennifer López skipped the ceremony that takes place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. Her exclusion from the nominations for her unforgettable starring role as Ramona in Hustlers has ended as we think: the star of the past Super Bowl 54 skipped the installment, leaving a large hole difficult to fill in the big party of the Mecca of Cinema.

Surprises continued with South Korea's sensational Parasite film, beating big favorites like Martin Scorsese in the Best Original Screenplay category and receiving the Best Foreign Film award. For her part, Laura Dern, a great favorite as Best Supporting Actress for Marriage Story (Netflix), took home the golden statuette:

Joaquim Phoenix, as expected, won the Oscar for Best Actor for his shocking leading role in Joker. "I have been a dump, difficult to work at times," he said excitedly thanking second chances in his career, closing his speech with a verse from a song written by his late brother River Phoenix.

As expected: Renée Zellweger took home the Best Actress statuette for her starring in Judy, the biopic about the life of legendary actress Judy Garland.

Elton John and Bernie Taupin won the Oscar for Best Original Theme for "(I'm Gonna) Love Me Again".

The Mexican Salma Hayek printed the touch of humor by appearing -radiant- on the stage next to her colleague, the Guatemalan actor Oscar Isaac, and taking him by the hand, holding her up to declare: “I can safely say that I had an Oscar in my hands . The laughter was immediate.
