Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny has joined other celebrities who have expressed regret after the tragic death of basketball legend Kobe Bryant - and even composed a new song for him, “6 rings”.

The interpreter published a video on Tuesday on his Instagram account in which part of the song is heard while someone drives a car at night. In the emotional song, Bad Bunny highlights the teachings he gathered in his life by seeing one of his sports idols.

“I still remember the first game of yours that I witnessed, a thousand emotions, many times you stood me up. You taught me that everything in life is done with passion, that to win you have to have a heart. You taught us that number 13 is not bad luck and failures can make one stronger,”he says in one of the verses in the song that lasts 2 minutes.

When the death of Bryant and 8 other people - including his 13-year-old daughter, in a plane crash on Sunday - was announced, the interpreter of "I am worse" shared a photograph of the athlete on his Instagram account with the following message:

“I never imagined that this would hurt me so much! I still remember the first time I saw a basketball game, at age 7 with my father, and it was a game by this genius. From that day on he became my favorite player forever! I've never mentioned it because it doesn't necessarily have to do with music, but this man has been an inspiration in many ways for me to be what I am today."

The reactions of the fans have been swift and they have expressed their empathy and respect for the artist. This is such a beautiful thing … We appreciate Bad Bunny for these thoughtful lyrics. As they say, music is a universal language,”wrote a Twitter user.
